About This Blog

…a pART of the story is a Mauldin Cultural Center project aimed at bringing stories about the arts from around the world, nation, region, state and Upstate to the Mauldin public.  This blog features pieces written by local artists, arts administrators and community leaders.  The goal of this blog is to highlight the role that the arts play in communities everyday.  It is meant as an educational tool for anyone who is curious as to how the arts are impacted by, and also impact, areas of daily life such as the economy, politics, community quality of life and artistic trends.

What Can I Expect to See?
On this blog, you might see everything from reviews to personal stories to journalistic posts.  Many posts will come from the MCC and will relay stories posted elsewhere on the web and explain how the story relates to the local community.  Other times, it may be just a personal story about the arts by a local community member.

How Often?
We will try and post something at once a week.
